Brandy's media blitz, the Singer spills about accident, her album & the fake marriage; if you hadn't noticed, the media has been going full press with Brandy. In addition to being on the cover of next week's Jet magazine, Brandy also managed to catch US Weekly's attention and sit down with Access Hollywood. Check out her answers about the impact of that fatal 2006 car crash on her life as well as her reasons for lying about being married... In the years since her last release, most of the media attention on Brandy has revolved around the December 30, 2006 multi-car accident that claimed the life of a 38-year-old woman, Awatef Aboudihaj. Brandy was uninjured and not charged with vehicular manslaughter due to insufficient evidence. While she awaits an April trial to determine the outcome of a $50 million wrongful death suit filed by Aboudihaj's family, the singer says she is still affected by the incident. "It was a situation that changed my life forever," Brandy told Access Hollywood guest correspondent Quddus. "I will never be the same." While it's obvious she was rattled by the incident, she also took an opportunity to speak about the public glare surrounding the accident: "Well, I just feel like a lot of people jumped on it because it was something to talk about," Brandy told Quddus. "And instead of just waiting to see what really happened, they kind of make their own story about it and started pointing the finger and blaming." I don't know if I'd agree with that one actually, while there have definitely been some

pointing the blame, I think the overwhelming public response has been surprisingly supportive. Oh and Brandy also disclosed her reasons behind her new album title: "One of the reasons why this album is titled 'Human' is because people forget that when you are seen everywhere, they forget that you are a human being at the end of the day," Brandy added. "I just sing. And you may be familiar with my face, but at the end of the day, if you cut me, I'll bleed." Brandy also discussed her fake marriage to producer Robert Smith with US Weekly. Remember their MTV special "Brandy: A Special Delivery?" "I lied because of the fear of what people would think and the pressure to be a good role model. Our relationship was very real, we just weren't legally married." Brandy also admitted to US Weekly that she was very protective of her daughter about that fatal car crash. "It was a very tough time, and I still have never talked about it with Sy'rai," she says. "I had to be a mother and stay strong for her. I'd cry when she'd go to sleep so she wouldn't see me like that - I had a responsibility to her." What do you guys think? Do you believe her? Who is excited about the new album? I know I am! It's been a long time coming. Human hits stores December 9th...
