A just-leaked snippet of Luda's "Tell Me What They Mad For" features a fiery verse from P.
Leftover beef, anyone?
Months after a seeming truce had stifled the long-running on-wax battles between Pusha T and Lil Wayneand Cash Money, Pusha is firing new verbal shots. A short snippet of a new Ludacris song featuring the G.O.O.D. Music rapper, titled "Tell Me What They Mad For," hit the Web last night. Though only about 30 seconds of the dark, Swizz Beatz-produced song were revealed publicly, a partial transcript of P’s deadly rhymes was also released.
With your baby mama f--king every rapper in the business
N---as saying you was better when the drugs was in your system
Now your crack swag gone ever since you came from prison
Got you tweeting all stupid, is you skatin’, is you dissin'
Ouch. The lines seem to be a rather transparent attack on Wayne, and in a recent interview with VIBE, Pusha freely admits that his verse was aimed at Weezy and Cash Money CEO Birdman.
"It’s for Luda’s album," Pusha told VIBE. He also explained his motivation for the verse. "Oh, because it’s a Swizz beat. You got to blame Swizz. See, when Wayne got a Swizz beat… with the "Ghoulish" track, he got busy, well, he tried to."
Pusha explained that Ludacris heard him dissing the YMCMB family in the verse and asked him to change it. However, Pusha says that he refused. "I ain't changing nothing — I think it's a great record," he said. "I don't like to call my records diss records, 'cause at the end of the day I make great records. Don't cheapen my music by calling it diss records."
P also explained why he hasn't yet mentioned Weezy or any of his allies by name on-wax. "People ask all the time why it's subliminal," he said. "I'm skilled to be able to say things to shake people without saying their names. And these are some of the greatest artists of our hip hop times. You really got to respect the art."
Ludacris hasn't yet confirmed if "Tell Me What They Mad For" would be included on his upcoming LP,Ludaversal. From what we heard — we really hope so!
